About QuickLink Trade

Global trade shouldn’t require an in-house logistics department.

QuickLink Trade is a Halifax-based independent sourcing and trade-introduction service. It gives Canadian businesses—and international manufacturers seeking access to Canada—a more direct, transparent path to suitable commercial partners.

I do not hold inventory or add a hidden markup to the goods. I identify potential suppliers or buyers, screen them against the agreed brief, coordinate independent checks when appropriate, and support commercial negotiations. You retain final approval, contract directly with the selected party, and remain in control of the relationship.

Why work with QuickLink?

  • Save time: I manage targeted outreach, initial screening, and comparison so you can focus on the commercial decision.
  • Reduce uncertainty: Potential counterparties are checked against agreed criteria before an introduction. Screening improves the decision; it does not guarantee performance.
  • Aligned incentives: QuickLink earns its agreed commission only when the qualifying deal closes.
  • Keep the relationship: Once terms are agreed, you deal directly with your new commercial partner.

Clear terms before introductions. The commission rate, closing event, payment date, covered parties, and reasonable protection period are documented in writing before identities are disclosed. Pre-approved third-party costs, such as samples or independent inspections, remain separate.

Based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Working with businesses across Canada and trade partners internationally.

Four clear steps

How It Works

Simple on the surface, protected by a written success-fee agreement before identities are disclosed.

Tell me what you want to import or export

Share the product, quantity, destination, timing, budget, specifications, and the result you need.

I source and screen matching suppliers or buyers

I identify potential counterparties, compare fit, and coordinate appropriate verification. Screening reduces uncertainty but is not a guarantee.

I help negotiate the commercial terms

I support discussions on price, quantity, payment, samples, delivery, and next steps while you retain final approval.

You close the deal; QuickLink earns the agreed commission

The success fee is earned only when the qualifying closing event defined in the signed agreement occurs.

Deal protection

You cannot protect a commission with secrecy alone.

QuickLink’s model is success-based, but the commission terms are signed before identities are disclosed. Every introduction is documented, and QuickLink keeps adding value through comparisons, samples, negotiation, checks, and specialist handoffs.

  • Signed success-fee agreement: the rate, closing event, due date, covered parties, and scope are clear before introductions.
  • Introduction record: named supplier and buyer, date, project, fee, and a reasonable post-introduction tail.
  • Two-sided paperwork: buyer service agreement plus supplier referral or representation agreement where appropriate.
  • Written disclosure: who pays QuickLink is clear; payment from both sides requires informed written consent.

First-niche discipline

A good first project has boundaries.

QuickLink can expand after repeated, profitable projects. The first 90 days should optimize learning and trust—not the number of countries or product categories advertised.

Good pilot fit

  • Custom mailer boxes, rigid boxes, paper bags, inserts, labels, or displays
  • Non-food-contact and non-hazardous use
  • Clear dimensions, artwork, quantity, budget, and delivery city
  • Order value large enough to justify samples, freight, and the success commission
  • Buyer willing to approve a sample before production

Not for the pilot

  • Food, supplements, alcohol, medical products, or cosmetics
  • Electrical products, batteries, toys, PPE, or safety-critical parts
  • Branded replicas, counterfeit goods, or unclear intellectual property rights
  • “Cheapest at any cost” projects with no quality specification
  • Urgent orders that skip samples or independent checks

Straight answers

Trust starts with accurate claims.

Until verified client results are available, QuickLink earns trust by explaining its process, fees, and boundaries plainly.

Is QuickLink a customs broker?

No. QuickLink provides commercial sourcing and coordination. A licensed customs broker should handle customs accounting and duty payment for the importer where required.

Who is the importer of record?

For the pilot model, the Canadian buyer normally remains the importer of record and is responsible for classification, valuation, permits, duties, taxes, and product compliance—with qualified professional support.

Do you guarantee a supplier or a saving?

No. Sourcing reduces uncertainty; it does not eliminate commercial, quality, shipping, currency, regulatory, or supplier risk. The buyer approves the supplier, sample, contract, and final order.

When is QuickLink’s commission earned?

Only when the qualifying deal-closing event defined in the signed agreement occurs. The exact trigger, rate, minimum commission, due date, and reasonable post-introduction tail are documented before identities are disclosed.

Will I be allowed to know the factory?

Yes—after the success-fee and introduction terms are signed. The relationship should be contractually transparent, not permanently hidden.

Can a supplier pay QuickLink?

Yes, under a written referral or market-representation agreement. If QuickLink also advises the buyer, that compensation and the potential conflict should be disclosed and accepted in writing.
